Many people and leaders in churches have been judged to be guilty by individuals who do not have first hand information. The old phrase “he said, she said” is very true. The phrase means that we should not believe the wife or the husband in a divorce situation unless we have reason to also hear the other side of the story. Proverbs 18:17 captures the issue.
It does not make sense to claim that the verse means the elder/pastor’s home must be organized, neat and tidy. It refers to family members.
. We also find that these men are to oversee the church. An elder is the person who has two type of responsibilities: oversight and shepherding.
What should a congregation do if the pastor is truly disqualified and for some reason cannot be removed from office? Then the congregation should request that the elders call a congregational meeting to discuss the problem. If the church is very large, it may be more difficult to have a congregational meeting. Then maybe a group of concerned members should ask to meet with the elders to discuss the situation before they choose to leave the church.
God did not approve when they assumed these ministry positions, and God will not bless their ministries. Even if their churches are large God is not pleased with them.

The a fantastic read results were amazing. Most everyone said the pastor should spend most of his time in sermon preparation and teaching/preaching, but they thought he should spend only about 10 hours per week doing this.
